Frey/Fengrui Tang is a Chinese filmmaker born in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology.

Frey has written and directed three narrative short films, which have been selected for some film festivals. He has also made experimental films, documentaries, and commercials. Tang's work usually focuses on the relationship between family relationships and social issues.
